Poplar

Welcome to Poplar Class (Year 3)

Meet the staff

Mr Jones – Class Teacher

Things I like:
I love to learn and to share new ideas.
I like all subjects, but especially maths and science.
I like being active and going for runs and walks.
I like getting to know children in my class and making them feel welcome.
Things I don’t like:
I don’t like when school rules aren’t followed.
I don’t like pickles.
I promise:
I will try my hardest all day, every day to give my children the best education possible.
I will be patient and encouraging when people are stuck.
I will listen to my children and support them when they are sad.
I expect:
You will try your hardest and ask for help when you need it.
You will be patient and wait your turn to have your say.
About me:
I am married to Mrs Jones and have two boys: Matthew and Samuel.
I love playing sports, tinkering with and building computers. I like to read and do Sudoku on the evenings or relax with the TV.

Miss Baxter – Teaching Assistant

Things I like:
I like keeping fit and exercising.
My favourite subject is literacy and I love reading the stories the children write!
I love watching Disney films! I can’t wait to hear all about your favourite films.
I like it when children try their best and don’t give up!
Things I don’t like:
I don’t like it when children make me sad by telling lies and being unkind
I promise:
I will always be happy to help you if you need me, whether you are feeling happy, sad, angry or confused I will always be there to help!
