Juniper

Welcome to Juniper Class (Year 2)

Meet the Staff

Mrs Schenker: Class Teacher – (Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday afternoon)

Things I like:
Reading, spending time with my children Miriam and Carl, cups of tea, yoga and planting lots of flowers in my garden. My favourite colour is pink and my favourite subjects are RE, history and art.
Things I don’t like:
Feeling sad, children who don’t always try their best or follow the school rules, nuts, especially peanuts and really spicy food.
I promise:
To always support you and listen to you. I will try to try to help if you have a problem and try and make your learning fun.
I expect:
Good manners and respect in the classroom. I would like you to always try your best and to keep trying, even if something feels difficult.

If you have any questions, worries or concerns, please email:  a.schenker@delveslane.school

Mrs Stevens: Class Teacher – (Wednesday morning, Thursday, Friday and every other Wednesday afternoon)

Things I like:
I enjoy learning new things and challenging myself.
My favourite subjects to teach are Art, Geography, Writing and Maths.
I like to go camping and do work in my garden to relax and unwind.
I enjoy meeting my new class each year and learning about each and every one of you.
Things I don’t like:
I don’t like having a reason to get cross or tell children off. If everyone behaves kindly and follows the school rules, that makes me much happier!
I don’t like when people make other people sad.
I don’t like it when people don’t try their best.
I promise:
I will try my best to plan and teach lessons which are interesting and fun – for you and for me!
I will listen to your problems, whether it be to do with work or something else, and do my best to help you.
I will be there for you if you need me
I expect:
You to try your hardest at all times. It’s not always about what you achieve, it’s the effort you put in that counts the most.
You to be kind and helpful.
You to be patient and respectful; wait your turn to speak and listen well to your teachers and other pupils.
About me:
I am married to Mr Stevens and have a little girl called Nora.
I can sometimes be spotted huffing and puffing my way through Consett, riding my bike to and from school!
I love to read, enjoy a good jigsaw and am quite competitive!

If you have any questions, worries or concerns, please email:  l.stevens@delveslane.school
