SAFC Primary Schools Football Competition

4th March 2016 By emmascott

Last week a team of children took part in the SAFC Foundation of Light’s Primary Schools Football Competition. This was the first time the boys had had the chance to play together as a team and the began very well against many older children. They won their first game 3-0 and worked well as a team throughout the morning before missing out on a chance to progress from their group into the finals by 1 point. All of the children behaved very well and were great representatives of our school. Well done boys!

Valentines Disco – Thursday 11th February – Junior School Children

8th February 2016 By emmascott

Dear Parent/Carer

Valentine’s Disco – Junior Children

Cupid has shot his arrow and love is all around us…………….

To celebrate Valentine’s Day we are holding discos for our junior children Thursday 11th February 2016.

The first disco is for all the children in years 3 and 4 and will run from 3.30pm to 4.30pm in the junior hall.  Children should bring their disco clothes into school so they can change before ‘boogieing on down’.

The children in years 5 and 6 should go home as normal and return to school for their disco which starts at 4.30pm until 5.30pm.

Refreshments will be served to the children, (hot dogs, juice and cakes).  Please let us know if your child has any food allergies/special dietary requirements that we may not be aware of.

Please note: Children should be collected from school promptly after the discos unless you have given school prior consent for your child to walk home alone.

Yours sincerely

Mrs B Woods

Acting Headteacher

5th February 2016 By emmascott

We consider ourselves very lucky to have fabulous readers in year 6. They are kind enough to give up some of their spare time to hear our younger children read. The reception children love to show off their blending skills to the year 6’s and look forward to their visits each Friday.
