This year we took two teams of Year 6 children to the Derwentside Cricket Festival held at Consett Cricket Ground. The festival is an early introduction to Cricket and allowed the boys to put the skills they have learnt in their PE lessons to the test against children from other local primary schools. The children all had a fantastic day and demonstrated great team spirt throughout, energetically cheering on their peers. Both teams performed very well, with Delves ‘A’ winning all their group games to progress to the finals. They eventually finished in 4th place overall from a selection of over 20 teams! A huge well done to all the boys who took part!
